EOC Performance – Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

General Information

Q: What services and products do you offer?
A: We specialize in vehicle performance tuning, aftermarket parts, and custom solutions primarily for Ram and Jeep Ecodiesel platforms. Additionally, we support various other vehicle platforms. Our offerings include performance-enhancing tunes, parts that complement your tuning experience, and professional installation services for local customers.

Q: Do you service vehicles other than Ram and Jeep Ecodiesel?
A: Yes! While we began with the Ram and Jeep Ecodiesel platforms, we've expanded to offer tuning and performance products for other vehicles. For inquiries, please email sales@ecodieselownerscanada.com.

Ordering and Support

Q: How can I place an order if I'm not local to you?
A: Orders can be placed directly through our website. If you need help, please email sales@ecodieselownerscanada.com.

Q: I am local to you; how do I arrange in-person services?
A: Local customers can call us directly. Our phone number is available on our contact page. Or contact the sales team at sales@ecodieselownerscanada.com.

Q: Why don’t you take phone calls from non-local customers?
A: To provide efficient, documented support, we handle non-local inquiries via email. Please be patient and do not send multiple emails for the same inquiry, as this can affect our queueing system. It is also best to respond to an existing email chain if you are currently a customer, versus sending new separate emails.

Q: What is your response time for email inquiries?
A: Typically, we respond within 24-48 hours on business days (M-F, Pacific business hours). For urgent matters, please be sure to indicate clearly in your email.

Q: How do I track my order?
A: A shipping confirmation email with tracking details will be sent once your order ships. You may get additional emails with instructions and other communications. Be sure to check your spam folder too!

Q: Are the products listed on the website always in stock?
A: Product availability on the website does not always reflect real-time inventory. Many items, such as exhaust or EGR kits, are made to order and may involve production lead times.

Q: What does "coming soon" mean on your website?
A: This means the product is a pre-order item and not an inventory item at that time. You must place your order for the item to be put into the pre-order status/production queue. This lead time can vary depending on the manufacturer. Contact the sales team at sales@ecodieselownerscanada.com for more info regarding a guesstimate on the production queue before ordering.

Q: What is the typical time to get my parts or tune?
A: This varies depending on what was ordered. Stage 1 kits may ship faster than Stage 2 kits. Shipping times also depend on current sales volume and team availability. Tune files are usually turned around in 24-48 hours during regular business days. If submitting a stock tune file for updating late on Friday, expect a response no earlier than Monday.

Q: Does EOC inventory "hard parts" for shipping to remote customers?
A: We keep a limited inventory primarily for our local customers. Remote orders typically drop ship directly from manufacturers, potentially involving lead times. Please email sales@ecodieselownerscanada.com for more details.

Q) When is the best time to install the tuning I've ordered?

A) We always recommend installing products during EOC Support business hours. This way our team is available to help should you require it. Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm Pacific Standard Time.

Technical Questions

Q) Does EOC offer installation instructions for the parts they sell?

A) No we do not, we strongly recommend that ALL parts are installed by a professional. We only supply tuning related support instructions.

Q) Do I flash my vehicle before or after installing the exhaust/egr components?

A) You always flash the vehicle before removing any stock components from it.

Q: Does an off road kit come with exhaust and egr components?

A: Yes it does, as it is for off road use, these components are required.

Q: What are the differences between stage 1 and stage

A:  Stage 1 is emissions intact, requires no physical modifications. EGR is turned off. Def adder can turn def fluid off. DPF functions as normal.

Stage 2 is off road, All emissions are turned off. It requires at minimum a race exhaust kit to be installed.

Q) What does bench flash mean?

A) This means we flash the ecu on our bench. This entails shipping us the ecu or getting a pre tuned ecu from us.

Q) Does the ECODIESEL or TDI ECU/TCM need to be stock before using an OBD PG3 or PG4 flash tool EOC supplies?

A)YES! It is cruical your ECODIESEL or TDI ECU/TCM is stock before using a Power Gate 3 or Power Gate 4 OBD tool.

Q: I’m new to vehicle tuning—how do I know which products are right for me?
A: Our team is happy to help. Contact us at sales@ecodieselownerscanada.com with your vehicle details and goals for personalized recommendations.

Q: Do you offer installation instructions for parts?
A: No, we strongly recommend professional installation. We only provide installation support related to tuning.

Q: Do I need any special tools or knowledge to install your parts?
A: Many products require basic mechanical skills and standard tools; however, professional installation is advised for specialized products.

Q: Will your tuning products void my vehicle’s warranty?
A: Modifications could impact warranty coverage. Check with your dealership or manufacturer before installing.

Q: Will my vehicle still pass emissions after tuning?
A: EOC Performance is not responsible for local emissions compliance. Emissions regulations vary widely by region. We recommend checking your local laws and regulations. For specific questions or concerns about emissions compliance, please email us at sales@ecodieselownerscanada.com.

Q: What should I do if my dealer wants to flash the ECM/TCM?
A: Work with your dealer to determine if the flash is necessary. If it is, flash back to stock at the dealer and contact EOC to update your tune file accordingly. If the dealer flash isn't required or preferred, clearly communicate this to the dealer and consider securing the OBDII port to prevent unintended overwriting of your tune.

Q: Do you really use MR Tuning for tunes?
A: Yes, we partner with MR Tuning for some tuning and have been a trusted partner for many years. We also collaborate with other suppliers as needed to provide the best services for our customers as a comprehensive, one-stop shop. This arrangement is beneficial for our partners as they may not always be set up for direct customer interactions, particularly internationally.

Q) Will a battery jump pack work when flashing my vehicle?

A) We do not recommend this, the charger needs to supply a solid and constant 14VOLTS and 10AMPs of power.  If your ecu loses communication during a write process it can put itself into recovery mode and the ecu will need to be bench flashed back to stock..
